But in a shocking turn of events, reports stated that the award was handed over to Ranveer Singh, leaving Sasha miffed. Reports then made it to the headlines that Shahid left the event in a fit of anger without even delivering his performance. Now, he has made a few cryptic tweets and also thanked fans for all the concern.

It was after the news of Shahid walking out of the awards night made it to the headlines, a press release talking about his bad health made it to the news. According to the organisers, Shahid left the awards nights because of his bad health and Varun Dhawan instead gave a performance. Now, Shahid has made a few cryptic tweets talking about his health, his upcoming film Jersey and even the flawed characters that he performs on screen. His first tweet read, "Thank you all for all the concern and wishes. Last 2 weeks I was out of action but am well and raring to go now. #Jersey shoot starts tomorrow.  As usual pre shoot nervousness. Sleepless and anxious. Every character is a new challenge. And the responsibility of finding truth."
